Games that make you think
QuickFlipGame is a small corner of the internet for people who enjoy understanding why games work —not just playing them.
Most game sites give you a list of games and send you on your way. We want to do a bit more: we build small, thoughtful games and write about why they're interesting —the psychology, the math, the design tricks that make certain mechanics stick in your brain.
If you've ever caught yourself wondering "why is this game so addictive?" or "what's the optimal strategy here?" —you're our kind of player.
You might be a curious casual gamer, a game designer collecting mechanics, a programmer who appreciates elegant algorithms, or just someone with five minutes to fill who'd rather exercise their brain than doomscroll.
Build — Small, hand-crafted games with interesting mechanics. No bloated engines, no downloads.
Understand — Deep-dive articles on why games work: the math, the psychology, the design patterns.
Share — Short observations and half-formed thoughts. Not everything needs to be a 3000-word essay.
We're just getting started. More games are in development, more research articles are being written, and we're building a small community of curious players who think about games the same way.
If that sounds like you —welcome. Explore the Game Lab, browse the Research, or drop us a line.
